Of "Distorted Tradition"

Ha ha this is a quickie.

Am waiting for Jita to land from KK, kemudian menjadi supir nya pulang ke East Coast!

Anyway, I notice that the present boys actually refer to the corridor area in front of Dorm 7 Overfloor as "Night Court".

Ha ha ha this is a good modal to start a conversation with the kids - telling them the origin of what they now call "Night Court". I am sure the function and association with the area has not changed since the yesteryears.

Little that these boys know that it started as "7 Knights Court" - a lot more posh name than a "Night Court" ha ha ha.

"7" referring to the dorm/location, Knights Court is the connotation of exclusivity since the kaplak of the kaplak of the Idris house (or maybe Form 5 for that matter) has the right to linger there.

It's rather a new creation, either in 1992 or 1993 as a direct result of the conversion of the Senior Common Room into a permanent mini exhibition museum ("poshly" called Bilik Pameran) thus eliminating the dungeon of the beruk or babi of the yesteryears.

So kids - there you have it, your quick history lesson.

It's "Seven Knights Court", not dewan malam!

    The Class of 94 never called the place 7 Knights' Court anyway as it was created by the batch immediately before us.

    And yes, Night Court sounds lame enough, unless you conduct your "trials" there...

    Betul..memang ada insiden "kepala kat situ..dan "kepala" juga pernah digunakan sebagai alat hukuman..Penah skali aku tengok ngan mata "kepala" aku snirik, Zahadin yang macho telah menjatuhkan hukuman "head" butt..ke atas kepala sorang f3, yg dianngap kapla batch dia time tu...Pas tu aku tengok Zahadin gosok2 dahi dia sambil muka berkerut...impact baik punya haraharhar..and at that very moment,concept momentum yang Munizam ajar terserlah mcm screen kat depan mata aku....

    No stinggan over"flow"..kat muzium tu prosiding mahkamah "majistret" yg lain..ini kat 7 knights court..tempat tinggal aku spanjang 94. On that night..aku terpaksa rampa sebab yg duty tu kalau tak silap aku sam hong...heheh anyway..Zahadin mmg Zidane...

    Wahh ganas ni Din..dulu masa main bola team koleq, tak de lak insiden headbutt ni. Nasib baik ngko dulu shot-stopper, kalau ngko midfield maestro sure aku tak berani nak rapat..let alone nak cakap something mcm materazzi. Apatah lagi aku main back..Anyway, sape yang di"materazzi"kan oleh Zahadin "Zidane"...??

    Oit rough..sorry dude..aku mcm ni lah kerjaya yg sat2 ada sat2 tak dak..kenduri badut aku tak dapat pi la..aku tgh out station skrang ni, sampai ujung bln 12 baru aku abih keja. Kalau hg nak compare keboyotan...aku awal2 lagi dah disco roungh..sebab yang tinggal lepas puasa / raya ni cuma six pack saja..harharhar..hg bila nak kawin?...

    Waa...kes Zahadin "Zidane" blom terjawab..tetiba dah masuk bab "Noni Kapet + Kawai Desu Vs Dysfunctional Public"..?? Apehal??..bila Zahadin nak menjawab teka-teki ni?..Atau dia dah kena antar buat community services kat mana2?..Tapi...emm..noni kapet + kawai desu...emmm..not bad ehh..
